Shoes glorious shoes
Just a quick post to show my two new pairs of shoes that I have bought over the last week. I couldn't resist the first pair from Primark, for only £20 they were a bargain. I was dithering over whether to actually get them as I wasn't sure about the snake print pattern down the side, but after trying them on about 6 times I decided to just buy them and decide later. I wore them out on sunday night, hence why they are a little dirty. But I've got to say they were undoubtedly the comfiest shoes I had ever worn on a night out! Usually my feet are killing after a night out so these shoes were my saviour, and were also very easy to walk in.
My second pair were slightly more extravagant at £75 from River Island, but after seeing a girl on my train home wearing them, I couldn't keep my eyes off them! You can imagine my excitement when I saw them sitting on the shelf in River Island about a week later. After taking my friends in there countless times to show them my dream boots, I was persuaded. Even though the size 4's were too small and the 5's slightly big, I still opted for the bigger size and put in an insole. I absolutely love them and am trying to wear them as much as possible. I think they look great with anything tights, leggings and skinny jeans. But I cannot wear them without socks otherwise they are too big. Gutted that River Island don't do half sizes a 4 and a half would have been perfect.

The marmite trend; Christmas Jumpers.
£94 Abercrombie & Fitch This is my favourite Christmas jumper I have come across yet. Shame that its £94 : ( |
Jumper £15 Primark. |

As it is the 'season to be jolly' I thought why not talk about Christmas trends. Christmas Jumpers. Whether you love them or hate them there is no escaping the recent phenomenon. They are everywhere you go from Primark to Topshop. I guarantee that this winter when you visit any high street store there will be a beautiful festive knitted navy jumper dotted in snowmen and reindeers sitting right in front of you. Do you buy it? Or have you already indulged and told yourself that you are 'In the Christmas Spirit'?
I have already fallen into this Christmas trap. On visiting my local Primark around 2 months ago now, I walked past a very intriguing and 'Christmasy' range of mens jumpers. I instantly picked out a navy blue knit which sported minature white reindeers and snowflakes, with a hint of red zig zags to make it a busy holiday print. All I knew is that I wanted it and at a mere £12 there was no stopping me. For the rest of the day I imagined how nice my new purchase would look with black leggings and chelsea boots on a cold winters day. But as I sit here now thinking about how much I still love that jumper I hold my hands up and say it is still sitting at the very bottom of my wardrobe, unworn, lonley and certainly not being used to indulge in Christmas joy. I think it may even have the tags attatched.
What I'm trying to say is how realistic is this yearly trend? How often do you look at someone in the street and think "Wow I love that Christmas jumper on them". Never. So is this trend really fashionable? I say YES! I haven't given up on my jumper yet. I think that styled right that it could look quirky, but perhaps not "bang on trend." There are hundreds of different colours and designs avaiable, I have seen red and green jumpers with patterns ranging from Santa to Rudolph the red nose reindeer, or maybe you would prefer a more subtle pattern of zig zags and snow flakes otherwise known as a 'Fairisle' print. Whatever design you want I'm pretty sure somewhere in the high-street will sell it or something similar.
However I would advise unless you know that upon purchasing your Xmas Sweater that you will wear and cherish it I would certainly not break the bank. I can justify £12 but not £45. Primark mens section have some really fun designs, with the added bonus being that they are oversized, which I think is key to pulling it off. My personal favourite being this black and pink number from Topshop, but at £42 I don't think I would get enough wear out of it.
What's clear is that this Christmas fashion frenzy is expanding further than jumpers. I have even recently spotted fairisle print leggings and t-shirts, thus the trend is growing bigger than I can ever remember. It seems that Christmas embraces unconventional fashion and makes us all want it in some way or another. If we aren't out on Xmas Eve in a trendy sequin dress we are at home snuggled up on the sofa in our new favourite Christmas jumper. Maybe it is innate that we are drawn to this kitsch style especially if we're feeling in the spirit?
After writing this post I am itching to wear mine, but I'll probably think different in the morning. If it ever makes it out of my wardrobe I promise to post some pictures of me wearing it just for evidence.

I just can't get enough.
Hey everyone! Hope you are all well! Sorry it's taken me so long to post I have literally been working every day non stop! However on my occasional days off all I do is shop! Here are a few photos of some of the things I have bought over the past month. Its awful and I spend way too much money, but I just can't help myself.
So as you can see there is rather a lot that I have been buying! And there is more bits and bobs which I will gradually post. Is anyone else this obsessed with buying as me?! I do apologise for some of my awful photography it's quite hard to find places to photograph masses of stuff!
